Petit Soleil

A red wine for cooler vintages

Not every vintage has its Petit Soleil. This Pinot Noir is made when the climate provides the freshness and fruit character we seek. Its bright ruby colour, notes of cherry, blackberry and raspberry, and supple tannins create a lively, precise wine made for sharing.

01 · The sunlit hillside

On the sunny slopes of the Sonnenberg in Ammerschwihr, vines over 40 years old grow in clay-limestone and granite soils. This terroir gives rise to a fresh, light and fruity expression of Pinot Noir.

02 · Simply fruit

A vibrant nose of red berries and a fresh palate with a supple texture. Ageing remains subtle, allowing the fruit to shine. A wine to share over an aperitif or a good meal.

A gentle approach to winemaking

Aged for 10 to 12 months in 350-litre barrels, with no more than 10% new barrels. Gentle filtration, followed by bottling at the estate.

At the table

Alsatian salad with sausage and cheese, barbecued red meats, roasted vegetables or fresh, unripened cheeses. For something different: roast pork, grilled aubergine with red miso and sesame, grilled octopus or hare stew with lingonberries.

The perfect moment

14–15 °C
Decanting is recommended.

Enjoy within 5 to 7 years, in good company.
