This wine has a beautiful straw-yellow color with golden highlights. Very flattering, its nose is a mixture of yellow flesh (peach, mango), white flowers (acacia, jasmine) and candied lemon. At the beginning of the palate, we find the typicity of the Gewurztraminer grape (fruity, spicy) followed in the finish by the exceptional acidity of Riesling.

During the harvest, we pick the same day our oldest parcels of Gewurztraminer and Riesling (age of vines : 60 to 70 years) from the Grand Cru Kaefferkopf. The pressing is done then in the same press. An alchemy is created giving birth to the cuvée "Le Grand K".
 
Composed of 70% gewurztraminer and 30% Riesling, this wine is produced only during great vintages.
 

Tasting commentary of the guide Vins et Terroirs Belgique:

Pretty bright yellow to golden dress. The bouquet is open and complex. The marked aromas of ripe or exotic fruits find their balance in spices and a subtle minerality. A nose full of nuances and delicacy. The aromatic power (spices, exotic fruits) of Gewurztraminer finds a perfect accomplice here with the purity and freshness of Riesling, whose strong acidity balances the residual sugar. This perfectly constructed wine also enjoys an endless finish, smooth and salivating. Bravo!
